Two weeks ago we made a very hard decision to put our beloved Daisy up for adoption. Due to her mounting medical bills and our lack of funds, we decided that this was the only fair thing to do for Daisy. She is still in good health and is not suffering, she just needs some work that we can not afford. We immediately contacted the family who watched her while we were out of town. They have always enjoyed having Daisy come over for short stays and their children got along with Daisy very well. Our prayers were answered when they said "Yes, we would love to adopt Daisy." So, this past Monday, I took Daisy and all her things over to the Anderson's house. It was so good for me to see how excited they were to accept her. Their oldest daughter had made a poster saying "Welcome Daisy" and their 3 year old kept jumping up and down saying "Daisy's here." Their boy was also so very excited to see Daisy. We are so very glad that Daisy has gone to a family who already knows her a loves her. The plus side is that they live nearby so we can go visit Daisy on occasion.
Below are some of my favorite pictures of Daisy from the past six years.
